I have a 50 plus year old Osterizer (it was my parents) that is a tank and will be running long after I am. I use it to grind peppers for sauce.

Tribet probably makes just what your looking for. Better quality than run of the mill stuff.

So...we've been using the Beast daily for the past month and love it.

I just ordered a Vitamix immersion vendor as a second tool in the toolbox (N+1, right?)

On a related note, cardiologist recommended PB *powder* in the smoothie rather than peanut butter. No saturated fats!

Shoot, I've used mine to mix concrete. That thing is a brute.

I drink it straight from the container I make it in, so there's less to clean up.

(stick blender cleans up easily too - I just rinse it off under the kitchen tap, takes two seconds)

I ordered a second container for the Beast; my wife and I might each make a smoothie for lunch and we can sit down together to enjoy them.

As an aside, I invested in a couple of stainless steel straws that are perfect for smoothies.
