Speaking of the All Road, we just finished this pretty little sleeper. Black on black on black. This thing is all business.

Carl,
The horizontal top tube makes this bike look so classic. Simply breathtaking.
Has Pursuit even done a sloping top tube? This is for those of us who like some seat post showing.
Thanks!

Thanks! I think my old school traditional bent prefers a somewhat level'ish toptube. Most of our bikes, including this one, have a TT slope of about 4 degrees. On the smaller frames, say below 54cm, we have more slope in order to accommodate shorter inseams.

That said, we do slope them a bit so that enough seatpost is exposed to hang the bike in a work clamp by the post without moving the saddle height. I hate seeing frames clamped on the frame tubes.

As many of you know, Tejay van Garderen grew up in Bozeman. I raced with his father Marcel, and for many years Strong Frames sponsored him. He also worked at Strong Frames with Dave Kirk and myself among others.

Since he's gone of to be a Pro Bike racer, he always stayed in touch. He's sent us jerseys from every team he rode for, and even a white jersey from the TDF. He wore the polka dot for a day and his Dad and I were both hoping we might get our hands on it, but no luck.

At any rate, about 6-7 years ago I built him a titanium Strong. He wanted a bike that was his own. Something he could have just the way he wanted it, and something that he could keep for the long haul. Well unfortunately, last year his Strong, along with a lot of other stuff was stolen. He was pretty heart-broken. So we built him a Pursuit All Road. So far he loves it. I'm hoping to get a lot more intel from him as he gets more miles on it.

Here is a pic he recently sent me of himself and the bike along with a few more pics of the bike.

Ugly! But the bike is pretty nice.

Still Black Magic doing the paint? #LuvIt!

Hope he enjoys, and also gets some or most of the lifted wares back...

Black Magic did STRONG paint years ago and did a great job, but Pursuit has been using Dark Matter since our inception. And in the past year we have been doing about half our paint in-house, and plan to be entirely in-house by the end of 2023.

BTW Bicycle Crumbs did the design with inspiration led by Loretta. He's a Portland OR guy and has a great Instagram feed if you want to check him out.

If the sizzle sells the steak, you sold me!

But we all here know your steak melts in your customers' mouths.

Cool, good to know. Did not realize local to me. I think he inked the art on the Team Stampeded Tomii frameset I appropriated here on PL a season or two ago...

BTW, as someone married for 40 years, it is so cool Loretta and you work together as such. We got same thing in the works with a quilting gig for when Elaine retires.

I seem to recall as much leaning as sweeping.

I suppose that's what happens when you're 13 and riding adult, pro-level miles...you gotta rest at some point!
