If we were going to build something as long as 62 I'll bet we'd want to use the XL sized tubes to keep the torsional stiffness up and keep twist at bay. dave |

Nice web!, I didn't know those "webs" had to be manually constructed. Do you build up a big mountain of brass and then file it down?

Dave,
That's absolutely beautiful, shame to cover it up with paint if that's the plan. How many junctions are getting this treatment? |

I enjoy reading Mr. Kirk's posts for the intelligent restraint that he exhibits. This one caught my eye:
Question: "Do you build up a big mountain of brass and then file it down?" Response: "Yes....I need to fabricate the webs but no I don't pile up brass and file it down. I came up with a precise way to do it that allows to put just enough brass down so that I don't shape it but instead just polish it." It was like asking Clapton if he makes sounds by just pulling on some strings. ![]() |

Very clean look. Simply outstanding. Is that a 53 -54?

The seat tube is 46.5 c-c and the top tube 55.5.....and the top tube has a 4° slope.

That frame is lovely--and given the size constraints looks well-proportioned. great paint as well!

It would be ashamed to cover those fillets with paint, these stylist fillets should belong to a raw stainless frame. Too cool!
