Looks like maybe a new powder coat, but the lugs tell the story that it is indeed a Rivendell. From the look of the rear dropout, this one looks to be Waterford made. Price is not bad, but I'd want to refinish in their classic cream red, which would be another 1k easy.

65cm Assenmacher Handmade Classic Road Touring Bicycle w/ Campagnolo - $800 Are you a very tall cyclist? Here is the bike for you. 65cm Assenmacher vintage road touring bicycle. Seat tube 65cm center to center, 66cm center to top. Top tube 59cm center to center. Saddle height in photo is 90cm. Likely suitable for a 6' 5"- 6' 9" rider, maybe a little shorter or taller depending on your proportions. It is a big bike for sure. The builder Matt Assenmacher trained under Bob Jackson in England. Frame building style has similar cues. 1970s vintage custom frame for J.C. Peterson (inscribed on top tube). Reynolds 531 tubing. Clearance for larger tires, currently running 700x35. Campagnolo Record derailleurs, hubs and shifters. Dura-Ace center pull brakes, Specialized triple crankset. Nitto dirt drop style stem and wide flared drop bars.
