Bob Jackson 61 all original campy traditional geometry for that time

a great bike at a fair price for someone looking for a classic imho. I had one of these and the ride was superb:

This seller has been at it for years on eBay as I recognize the carpeted staircase backdrop he has in all his photos. It is up to the seller to determine the price. To my mind, a Competition GS in nice shape like this is not priced to sell at $600, but to each their own. If I'm selling a bike, I'm not willing to let it sit for months and months waiting for that one perfect buyer to come along, but some people are. n

He's a good guy and square. He knows the market pretty well and what it will sustain. If his price is off, it's not by much.

Yeah, it's not my bike, and I'd price it lower to get rid of it. He has sold a lot of bikes, and I'm guessing he'll get close to his price. FWIW, he has it listed on ebay for 729. I owned a Raleigh Competition, and they aren't for me.

I think this was for sale on Bikeforums a while back. The dent in the top tube kills the price.

'74 Paramount 66cm - Original But Repainted?

Inaccurately described and poorly photographed. I have absolutely nothing against repainting bikes any way you want, but I wouldn't call a repainted bike "original." And the head tube doesn't really look 66cm-ish to me. Still, big.

Custom 200mm cranks!

I can only imagine what size case this would need even with the couplers..

Great buy for the right person tho.

Reminds me of a test Lennard Zinn did many years ago testing the benefits of long cranks - my memory is that he concluded most riders would benefit from considerably longer ones. Still, even at 6'4" I think I'd have a hard time getting used to 200mm cranks.

Most of the scientific evidence that's been published in journals points out that it's pretty much whatever you are used to that is optimal. I'm taller than you and use 175s, never had an issue.

Zinn still sells those customs. My local co op has got two of them for sale right now!

Serotta 69 cm tall road bike

I currently have a 60 degree handle bar stem on the bike, but will replace with the one in the picture if the buyer would like a lower profile stem.

Orbea Terra with DA 9120 Groupset. 60cm that fits like a proper XXL.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2020-Orbea-...c/312864474768

If I didn't already have my Ellis, I'd be all over this. I'd sell the DA bits or swap some of them out for GRX to get the gear range, but that is a really nice build for $3k asking....with the best offer option enabled too..

Oh yeah, and it's the answer to "show me a level TT gravel bike"

Now THAT is a serious if-you-had-only-one-bike contender.

And a beaut to boot!
