Chris Pauley

BigBikes is subjective since I am 5-7 but this frame is really spectacular. Not many around

Oh, I fully agree with you. Heck, I only paid $850 shipped for my Chinook, in excellent condition and a complete Super Record bike.

But you never know - someone on the forum was looking for one of these in a 63, and given enough time or offers, the seller could come down considerably.

In any case, it is just a PSA.

OK, who bought the Landshark?

I called the guy on Saturday and thought I'd bought it -- he told me it was mine -- waiting until today to arrange shipping and the final cost.

Today? "Some guy in California bought it. Sorry."

Why I oughta ...

I am actually quite p*ssed.

That sucks! This isn't quite as good of a deal and I'm not sure if it is your size, but CamChris posted this Austin CL ad over the weekend:

Cheers,

I've been trying to get the owner of that Landshark in Austin to ship to me for a while. He's responsive to emails, but when it comes to talking about shipping, is not interested. I even got a shop to agree to pack and ship to me. Maybe someone else will have luck. Its really the perfect bike for me - oh well.

Another turn of events

Wow. What a saga.

Turns out the "some guy in California" is actually our own robertt8883, and that the guy who's selling the bike actually promised it to robertt8883 before he promised it to me, so I screwed up Robert's deal.

Therefore, I'm bailing. Not worth it.

BUT ... if any of our Miami-area pals could help out in this convoluted situation, it might help.

This is a very stand up thing to do.

It's a strange things when 2 forum members go after the same bike.
Feeling get hurt, things get said in the heat of the moment, that shouldn't be said.
What you are doing here, with this, is way beyond the normal.
Well done!

Apology

Message SENT TO ELEFANTINO

I am going to do the right thing here and in no way should i be mad at you, by talking to this kid Cody i realize that he is clueless of whats going on and obviously knows nothing about bikes . He told me the seat tube was 24.7 inches and the top tube was 23.5
instead of me paying $800 plus another $50 for packing and another $100 to ship i rather see you get it for the $650 being 3000 miles away i am buying the bike blind and for the inexperience with this kid i don't feel 100 percent comfortable about his description

Thanks
Robertt8883
