Just discovered an AMAZING find in Oklahoma City. Anyone around there? If someone can help out, I'd be thrilled. I have the chance to pick up a personal grail bike, but the seller won't consider shipping...any assistance would be eternally appreciated.

Thanks!

Ask him where the nearest bike shop is, then tell him to drop off the frame there. Then call that bike shop, give them your shipping address and credit card to pay for packing/shipping. Maybe he'll go for something like that. Hassle-free, and all he has to do is drop it off. It worked for me once. Jeff N.

I promise I won't mention my absolutely pristine 62cm Atlanta anymore. After this.

It's still available.

I was just on SearchTempest and Seattle has two big Serottas right now.

and

$250 seems crazy cheap for a complete bike.

Atlanta on the Bay

Not to step on anyone's toes, but there is an Atlanta on the Bay with older components with a BIN of $1,000 + shipping.

I was thinking of buying the complete bike just for the components, wheels, etc to upgrade one of my oldest frames, but maybe one of you giants would want it complete!

Sure does look an awful lot like the one in this thread
But probably a good number of Serotta Atlanta bikes in that color/size in Florida.

Color me Stupid!

Some giant should by Elefantino's Atlanta. I think its a great deal and, from what I've heard, he's a great guy. I always appreciate the humor in his posts!

Serotta Atlanta 62c in Portland

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/3073009200.html

It's a standard geo vs. the long. I checked the geo with him. So, not for me.

Nice looking bike if you take off that headsup conversion and sink a nice quill stem.

I think he's a bit high on a 11 year old bike that probably rolled out of shop for $2600. I told him so, so maybe he'll come down a little.

I'd like to buy it. I've been looking for a 62 long serotta.

Problem with Elefantino's is that it has a perfect condition paint job that I just don't like in any way. If it was all chipped up and looking rough, it would sell at a price that I could buy and repaint. But, with the condition it is in, it's worth more than I can muster knowing that I would have to repaint and probably get a nicer fork. But, that is my problem. Not Elefantino's. He's got it priced right.

Jon
