I dated a dental hygenist for a while. My teeth were never cleaner!

Could it possibly be raising your blood pressure? Have you had a doc check it out - nosebleed is better than a vessel bursting.

I don't dislike tea, it just never really caught on with me. Espresso on the other hand I like quite a lot. Make a couple of shots every morning. Fresh beans->right grind->manual espresso machine->syrupy shots->steam a little milk->no sweetners of any kind= Mmmmmmmmmmmgoodness!!

Having said that I've only had yerba mate at home, and thought it was kind of meh. But I'm not a native, and like many things, it may be an acquired taste. The stuff in my kitchen is probably no longer any good.

I don't think so, since tea can have as much (or more caffeine) and doesn't cause bleeds. I suspect there is something in coffee that is a mild anticoagulant.

New study shows coffee could extend your life.
I’ll take the study with a few grains of brown sugar, but there are numerous studies pointing to the benefits of coffee.
When I recently underwent my middle-aged right of passage (AKA colonoscopy) the doctor asked me if I had any questions. “Only one,” I said. “When can I have a cup of coffee?” https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/01/w...ying-risk.html |

I've always preferred coffee to tea, but to make it palatable I have to load it up with so much cream and sugar it isn't even funny, so I don't drink it.
One can of Diet Mtn Dew when I get to work and I'm good. https://youtu.be/qtBxUoUkG8s |

I go back and forth between coffee and tea, PG Tips with a bit of honey and milk or half & half, specifically. It takes a day or two for my system to respond to tea and feel any caffeine surge, but after that I find that tea has a much preferable effect. Then once in a while I'll indulge in a coffee and it literally gets me high. Last week at work I had a cold brew coffee at lunch and it was amazing. The over-caffeinated effect lasted well into the late hours, which is too long though.
I know there's research out there that proves coffee has health benefits, but my body feels much better with tea. Caffeine in general gets me a bit hyper active, but the tea has a more calm effect on my nerves. As my PG supply dwindles, I may move to green tea for an even calmer effect. My favorite time to switch back to coffee is in autumn as the weather gets cool. |
