Best VFM alloy clincher rim
Looking for a reasonably priced rim replacement for a dented DT Swiss rr411 rear wheel (32). Campagnolo record hub. Not concerned about weight as the type of riding I now do is more about reliability and mileage. Not tubeless.
Was thinking DT Swiss r460? Cheers Hainy |

R460’s are a great deal for the price.

Had a wheelset built up with r460s. Builder said they built up easily!

R460s have been hit or miss for me. One rim that’s never been miss is an Archetype. Still competitively priced. Different finishes available. Not tubeless so tyre mounting is easy.

Thanks Guys,
I am now leaning towards the archetypes. Cheers Hainy |

The r460 rims that I've built have been good quality. About 465 grams, and nice and true.

Another vote for Kinlin. I picked up a pair of XR26T rims in silver. Quality.

I’ve ridden a set of rim brake 32/32 Archetypes (handbuilt with R45s) about 25K miles on anything and everything from pavement to singletrack. I don’t think I’ve ever even had to get them trued. Have another set on a different bike that have seen 10K+ similar miles, and a third set on some singlespeed wheels that are probably more like 12K miles, ditto. They’ve been fantastic rims for me.
