Front Axle Advice - 15mm to 12mm
I recently picked up a gravel bike that has a 15x100 thru axle front fork and in order to fit a pair the Zipp wheels I have, it looks like I have two options:
-Install a set of 15mm end caps or -Install a JJBP 15mm to 12mm conversion kit and use the existing end caps https://www.ebay.com/str/jjpellc Can anyone chime in on the negatives/positives for each and which one they'd choose? Thanks! |

If the wheels you mentioned are only going to be used on this bike, then I'd probably opt for swapping their endcaps... If you'll be shuffling other wheels into this frame, or sharing the Zipps with other bikes, I'd swap the fork to 12mm... No real downside to either, and its nice that the fork can be swapped to 12mm as its certainly more "standard".

I have used the 15-12 conversion on an older Stigmata fork and it works with zero drama.

I have used the 15-12 conversion set up on a set of Prime wheels I got used. Works perfectly.
