I am reluctant to think felt works for a MP... no doctor or pedorthist would ever build a MP with a felt pad.
More like a rock hard piece of polyurethane or carbon fiber type material. You want something hard. The MP on my cycling orthotics has 0 give, the orthotics have 0 padding, and they're really comfortable. You can get padding from socks. I run my cleats pretty far back but I have big feet (46) so that's a given. I can't even get the cleats far enough back on a lot of road shoes to even follow the recommendations for a "normal" cleat placement. |
