Removing stuck washer from Kool Stop Thinline's?

Hi, is there a trick to removing the concave washer once it's engaged with the knurled part of the brake? Trying my hardest to remove it and it won't budge. Thanks

I cannot help you, but I am having the same problem. I gave up on getting them off and played around with different washers/spacers to get the set up working properly. I am not at all familiar with cantilever brakes.

However, I sure do like the Kool Stop salmon thinlines. Along with a fork mounted cable hanger, my front brake is now screechless.

I emailed kool stop and they were quick to reply. He said to wiggle it up and off. It won't twist off. Easier said than done!

Correct, it won't twist off, due to the splines.
Rock it back and forth, off-axis from the post, and it will lift off easily with pliers.

I sometimes reverse the thick and thin concave washers to better match the rim width I'm dealing with.
