Removing stuck washer from Kool Stop Thinline's?
Hi, is there a trick to removing the concave washer once it's engaged with the knurled part of the brake? Trying my hardest to remove it and it won't budge. Thanks

I cannot help you, but I am having the same problem. I gave up on getting them off and played around with different washers/spacers to get the set up working properly. I am not at all familiar with cantilever brakes.
However, I sure do like the Kool Stop salmon thinlines. Along with a fork mounted cable hanger, my front brake is now screechless. |

Correct, it won't twist off, due to the splines.
Rock it back and forth, off-axis from the post, and it will lift off easily with pliers. I sometimes reverse the thick and thin concave washers to better match the rim width I'm dealing with. |
