Interesting Indy Fab XS paintjob
Saw this somewhat unusual frame when browsing FB marketplace this morning. My first guess when seeing the campy and the squiggly paint was that it was a Pegoretti but then I looked closer and saw the lugs and the headbadge. Has anyone seen IF do paint like this before? Would love to hear the story behind it but based on the lack of details in the listing and the description stating that it was used “about 4 times” I’m guessing this isn’t the original owner. I don’t have room for it but it seems like a pretty sweet build despite the awkward stem and saddle placement.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...71354544747749 P.S. I realize this should probably go in the barn finds thread in the classified section but I’m not an active enough poster to have access. If I’m breaking a rule here please let me know and I’ll remove it. I have no affiliation with the seller. |

Yeah I’m glad it’s overpriced, otherwise I might be trying to justify it…

Very cool bike. Not sure how bar tape could get that worn if used 4 times though?

Maybe it was ridden 4 times through a sandstorm, every time. |

But the chain was only ridden once...in an ocean.

The closer I look the less I like, what is that supposed to be on the downtube?

What are those marks along the top tube? Thought they were scratches at first, but when I zoomed in one of them looked like a face or head.
Weird looking paint job; I'm not a fan. |

Some kind of children’s handwriting. I can make out the phrase “iron teeth, snapping jaws”. From what I can tell it’s under the clear coat though. Not my favorite, but I have to give it credit for being different.
