you can hang if you carry all our stuff. That'll slow you down just a little bit.

I haven't, but I've looked at the road on the map many, many times. I'd be interested in hearing any info or reports.

I rode it on my motorcycle 20 years ago. It was fun and the scenery was great but I would worry about riding it on a bicycle due to the lack of shoulders which might lead to motorists making unsafe passes. See if you can find current photos to help decide if you would be comfortable riding on this narrow twisting road.

Thanks for the input. The dirt road of Trimmer Springs or the paved road of Trimmer Springs are you referring to? The Paved road snakes around Pine Flat Dam is a little Sketchy but we are planning to ride the dirt road which goes through the abandon settlement of Crabtree and exits at the top of ridge of Kings Caynon in KCNP.

The part I remember was paved--kind of--with plenty of rough gravelly patches and it was almost too narrow to accommodate two cars passing. If this looks interesting you might investigate the forest roads around Ponderosa, CA. Besides the small inn. restaurant, gas station there are several air b and b rentals.

I have cycled to Cedar Grove from Fresno via the main road. Looking at global Strava heatmap, it appears that a very select few have been on the dirt road. I looked around to locate one, but couldn't.

Do you have a GPS track I can use? Would love to try it next time I'm in the area!
