OT: Chiefs, Bills playoffs

I know that there aren’t a ton of chiefs fans here, but man was that game tonight amazing or what?

Put me in the camp that doesn’t like the rule. The away team that was equally unstoppable didn’t get a chance to answer. Not the right way to end that game.

Now that I’ve grumped: holy crap, Josh Allen. I knew about Mahomes but I guess I should’ve watched the Bills this season.

Unbelievable game! It looked to be over several times in the 4th quarter as each team scored another improbable touchdown.

1) NFL overtime rules are pretty stupid, even during the regular season. During the playoffs the "score a TD and the game's over" thing is big-time unfair - the game can turn on a single coin-flip.

2) Yes, the KC and Buffalo offenses are good, but maybe they should use a few draft picks on defense too. At the end of the game and in OT both teams were just marching up and down the field, with practically nothing to stop them.

I suspect this game will be discussed at the rules meeting in the offseason.

College does a fairer job than the NFL per OT.

That being said, OT rule is better than it used to be, but I agree, for post season games at least make it a set time or at least give the other team a chance to score the TD.

What a game - I think the over/under was in the mid to high 50’s. Before the game, I thought it was a no brainer over bet, and then in the 3rd quarter looked like it wouldn’t even come close to that.

Great weekend of football.

Why did Buffalo put the kickoff out of the endzone after their touchdown? Squib it down the middle, some KC guy would touch it and burn some time off the clock.

I was listening to the game on the car radio, with the KC broadcast guys, and that's what they thought the Bills were going to do.

OT notwithstanding, that was a great game. In fact the whole weekends were great, probably one of the best playoff weekends I have watched.

Next series of games, won't be bad either. Rams vs 'Niners will be a war.

This is why football….err soccer is better than football.

Great game, nonetheless.

Go chiefs!

Typically I struggle to stay tuned in to a whole NFL game. All four of the games this weekend have been phenomenal. Circumstantial, but enjoyable

As a Chiefs fan, I say Rot.
3 years ago, we died by this rule. It didn't change. This year, we lived by it. Karma.
I hate college OT. Games end in regulation 13-13. Final 52-50. That is nonsense. This is actually about as fair as it's going to get. The Ravens suggested something that I can't explain that might get traction, but they are not going to go the college route. Thankfully.
