This or that for Classic Bicycles Auburn

Ok, I’m heading to my first bike show in August (https://www.classicbicyclesauburn.com) and I need to start making decisions on what to take. I may have more questions like this in the future, but here’s my first:

1983 Murray Serotta team bike, or 1991 Merckx Motorola team bike?

Dunno; there will likely be many Merckxs (what's the plural of Merckx?), but how many Serotta built Murrays will there be? It's not as sexy a bike, but it's more interesting, IMO.

I like the Merckx better, largely due to the fact that it's from the era in which I started cycling. Nonetheless, I'd take the Murray since it's rarer and more classic to me since it's from an earlier era.

The Murray looks more proportional to me, stem length and seatpost showing, than the Merckx, so I’d go with that if taking it to a show.. plus the “more rare” angle noted.

Murray definitely more rare. Have seen some Motorola Merckx's in the wild but never that particular Murray.

Why not take an old bike, instead of those new ones ?

Anyway, the Murr-otta is more interesting.

I'll be going too.

Bikes TBD.

Murray without question. I’d probably rather ride the Merckx but as noted above, Murray is much less common, interesting story etc. , and I’d rather see that at a show.

Another for the Murray, for all of the aforementioned reasons.

Murray. Definitely the Murray.

Serious cred with the Murray. The Merckx will make the Mamils drool, but those "in-the-know" will be nodding in agreement that the Murray is way cooler.
