4th time is the charm???

Saw this one pop up here and being somewhat local figured better now than never. I have been lucky to have 3 different Kirks prior to this one. There are not many bicycles I regret selling, but the last Terraplane Kirk I sold was one of them, so here we are!

I drove out to pick it up this morning and could not be happier! Black Cherry Joe Bell paint, handcut lugs, 853 pro tubing and terraplane stays! Planning on having this one stick around for a bit this time around.

I swapped to a carbon K-force 44cm bar and Thomson Elite stem. I picked up a nice set of Enve 2.2s with R45 hubs originally for my Speedvagen, but decided to put them on this instead. 28mm Pirelli Zero Velo tires have plenty of room. Wrapped the bars with some Zipp Service Course CX tape. I have not had a chance to get it out yet, but I am sure it will be great!

I am getting the impression that Kirk road bikes are notorious for being super smooth and comfortable, I know that my new-to-me Kirk JKS is for sure.

Nice score Adam.

My favorite one you had was Sparky's old MRB with the cantis.

Yes, the Kirk Terraplane rides as smooth, comfortable and sure footed as just about any bike I have ridden. Very well balanced bicycles!
