What production rim-brake frames fit 700x30?

Doesn’t matter the material. Most seem to max out at 28’s.

Ritchey Road Logic supposedly fits 30’s.

Any others?

(And I mean actually fits with sufficient clearance. Not “fits in the frame but rubs anytime watts hit triple digits”)

The Giant says it will take 32mm, but when you got to the spec sheet it says 28mm max. If you don't mind mid reach brakes, Ben cycles has the Milwaukee Road frame that will take 32mm.

Most...if not all modern bikes will fit a 28 tire. In fact most will fit 32's. Buy a current modern bike, and you will find lots of happiness. Forget about the old stuff.

or buy a rim-brake road bike.. nothing wrong with it.. as was pointed out to me the other day, Shimano still makes Dura Ace Di2 shifters for rim brakes..

Gunnar roadie will easily fit a 30mm tire in the rear if you can snag a used one.

Do you recall what brake calipers you used that could fit 32s? I own several CAADs (including a CAAD10) and the tire clearance at the stays is good, but clearance with the brake caliper has always seemed to be the limiter for me.

Would love to know what combination of parts (tires, calipers, and frame size) you're using to get that size of tire in there.

Cervelo R3 2018 will fit a measured 30mm tire with 4mm clearance all around under Ultegra 8000 calipers. A measured 32 is fine in the stand but rubs on the road. I have a CAAD10 too and it wouldn’t clear quite as much (measured 27-28 max with adequate clearance). I ran the CAAD10 with the original Tektros, Ultegra 6800, and eventually SRAM RED Aerolink brakes. The Reds probably had the best clearance but still wouldn’t take a measured 30, and clearance under the fork was tighter than the stays. Both my frames are 58s.

I own one. After a zillion other bikes (many of which were delightful) I find this to be both relatively light and for me has a great road feel. Some scuttlebutt about Spirit tubes being good ones...and I think so too.

Some other scuttlebutt about maybe Crust made a mistake or maybe their vendor did that forced them to discuss building it up as a mullet. Me thinks the rear brake bridge may have been mis-placed. So they recommend bigger tire in front and smaller in the rear due to clearance back there. But it does fit 35mm front and back with decent clearance. I run it with 32 front and rear and what a nice ride. Or like they say you can do 42 front 35 rear.

And of course there's Rivendell.
