This! We've been going to Cooperstown at least once a year for the last 8 or 9 years. I've yet to step into the HOF. Too much good riding and fine drinking establishments to waste time in a museum I care nothing about.

Kind of agree on the “who cares” part of it. I have minor opinions but not strong ones. Not really a baseball purist and pro sports are all about money anyway. So let them in. They made their clubs a lot of money and made their fans happy.

So yeah, how about the riding? Years of being in and flying over New York makes me want to ride there. Most definitely.

I wouldn't vote in Pete Rose, either. I could tell you stories.
Die hard Sox fan and I would NOT vote in Schilling.
Agree with your other votes.

I have a feeling that A-Rod has been forgiven and will be inducted next year. He just signed a contract extension with ESPN. And judging by how ubiquitous he was at the inauguration (of course due to his association with J. Lo), I'd say that A-Rod is an A-list celebrity.

Only after he spends a full year filling potholes in Rhode Island (by hand) for his 38 Studios debacle.

Remember the bumper stickers from the 72 presidential race - Don't Blame Me, I'm From Massachusetts.

MA said no to the crybaby and RI gave him a 75 million loan guarantee so that he could chase his dreams of video game development stardom and in the process get what he called “Bill Gates-rich” in the process.

When he filed bankruptcy, I remember him crying that he would have to sell his 5 million dollar house in Medfield (which he bought from Pats QB Drew Bledsoe - remember him, the Wally Pipp of football).

RI is still recovering from that misstep of taking on the role of a venture capitalist. And the last I remeember, requests to release records of the grand jury investigation has not been fulfilled.

It will take some time to see if today’s All Star games compare, but 50 years ago the 1971 All-Star game had 25 future Hall of Famers. Of them, Lou Brock, Roberto Clemente, Reggie Jackson and Al Kaline didn’t make the starting lineups! Some guys named Aaron, Mays, Stargell and Yazstremski did...

Be sure to show them pictures of him before and after, and how he says it was all exercise.
He was good enough to get in the hall, anyway. He got greedy. Hank Aaron, HR king.

Schilling can go to hell and rot there indefinitely.
