Much of the information in these older threads age very gracefully.

Couldn't agree more. But...

... this place still rocks pretty well. And the other folks are just across the hall.

Interesting! Thanks for the post. Yes, my Team Custom does have the teardrop shaped downtube and toptube. The rest of the tubing is round. It rides nice.

100% agree. and no criticism meant, but it was kind of special when all the folks and opinions were in one place and they could bounce off each other and enlighten us all.

A lot of the original folks across the hall don't post much anymore. A lot different than the early years.

So Louis have you got an oval down tube? That would be special.

Great review, as always :-)
My thought too. I'm 5' 9 1/2" and can ride a 56 or 57 cm frame, but a 59? I don't think so.

I'm pretty sure it is, but didn't go check.

I will later when I'm home.

Just checked the Duende. Both the TT and DT are teardrop-shaped. The TT not dramatically so, but the DT very much so. The TT has the "fat" part on top, while the DT has it on the bottom / forward side. ST is round.

Btw - just finished reading this thread cover to cover. What an education. Makes my conversations with Richard make so much more sense. I'm gonna build my leg Respo next week. So stoked.

This is simply an amazing read and one I’m happy to bring to the top for those who haven’t read it yet.
I’m on vacation and reading through every Pegoretti thread here over the days so far, as we approach the one year anniversary of his death :-(
