I really didn't need to know people like this exist. For sure the driver will no longer be an incel once imprisoned.

There are really sadistic monsters among us. You don't hear the details of a 11 year old boy raped and tortured, like being stabbed 52 times, superficial 1" stabs as the boy is being raped over a period of hours. Some monsters should be dead.
As horrid as that is, none of that merits becoming the kind of bloodthirsty society that thinks retribution = justice.

I don't disagree he's a monster, but going down the path of thinking they should be dead leads to things like executing innocent people. If we think we're better than these "monsters" then we should start acting like it. Giving in to bloodlust over horrific crimes isn't acceptable.

'Bloodthirsty, bloodlust', that's a must!
You wrongly mix hate and revenge with punishment.
Anything less in the man I described would be grossly disproportionate to the heinousness of his crime. I think the loved ones of this murdered and tortured child understand this, I do.

The actions of this van driver show humanity at it's worse. The reaction by Canadians in the aftermath by both the policeman and Canadians show humanity at its best. Well done.
