shimano TL-FW30 cassette lockring tool

I'm going to try converting one of my Zonda wheelsets to use an XDR driver for a Force 12 speed cassette, in the near future.

I notice that the AXS 12 cassettes uses a cassette lockring tool, to tighten the lock the cassette into place, despite not having a lockring. SRAM says it requires a lock ring tool with splines 7-8mm in length.

Is my old tool that I last used in the days of Shimano 8 speed, still the same spline pattern used today? It only measure about 22.6mm around the 12 spilnes. Park tool mentions 23.4mm that's significantly larger.
