Honestly with the external cable routing and slick Shimano cables the shifting on 105 is flawless. This bike continues to impress, even up against $5k carbon bikes.

It's a fallacy to discount virtuoso craftsmanship over materials.

I totally agree. Have ridden many high end Carbon bike and nothing compares to the Peg. A dream to ride. And still PR on the Peg over those plastic bikes.
