It was Matthews sunglasses they came off during the sprint.

So far, I have been happy with the cycling coverage on Max. So far, it works great and the race replays are up very quickly.

According to this Spanish article, Bugno served six months in jail in Belgium for purchase and possession of amphetamines when he rode for Mapei:

I wish Matthews would have taken it. Philipsen came from no where, I thought he was dropped.
Shocking that MVDP would sacrifice himself.
I don't think Pogacar can ever win this race, it just does not have hard enough climbs. I think his best option would have been to follow on the climbs and then launch an attack a few km from the finish.

I think Pog getting hemmed briefly on the barrier cost him a place or two there.

I think Pog can (though that doesn't mean that he WILL) - the right race can come down to a small group sprint and Pog has a mean sprint - hell, he came around Pedersen yesterday.

I think he's taking a while to figure out MSR and definitely hasn't unlocked it, but I think about Nibali who spent years attacking at all the wrong times only to finally have everything line up in his favor for the win in 2018. Part of the trick is, it might be a solo rider over the Poggio, it might be a small group of 3-5, or a larger group or even a small bunch... it's so variable, but it takes somebody willing to adapt to the situation - but I also think that Pog is probably one of the most versatile riders to take advantage of it.

I think Pog can do it if it’s not such a sprinter’s finale. He had the right kind of situation last year—if it happens again I figure he’ll be better prepared to counter punch a rider like Mathieu.

Appreciating the Max coverage but does Carlton Kirby really have to act like an eighth grader?

I happen to think Carlton Kirby is a GREAT play by play commentator, the best to come along since Phil Liggett.

He also does motorsport coverage too - he's pretty knowledgeable!

I love that MSR can be won by a sprinter one year and a classics specialist the next. This just points out how incredible Pog is. He wins GC's, "normal" classic one day races, and contends in the sprints.

Still, did Strada Bianche have a weaker field or did those guys just look at each other when he took off?

Great to see Jasper P triumph after all the "Jasper Disaster" stuff on Netflix.
