Bianchi D2 Carbon Cross Concept Race

Hey folks- Has anyone here had this bike? Any thoughts on this frame as a general winter/fun/commuting bike? 2010 model year, so it's older.

I can't find a lot of details on the geometry.

I briefly had one. I liked it because it was Bianchi, and celeste. Otherwise, it was about the same as any other carbon, canti, cross frame. It'd be a fun commuting or winter bike, especially in celeste!

Thanks. Did you replace this bike in your stable with something else?

Yes, and no. I'm a minor league version of Clean39t where I'm always circulating bikes through the mix, just for the fun of trying out different things. Likely my favorite carbon, canti cyclocross bike was the Ibis Hakkalugi (canti). They can be found pretty cheap these days. But they're not celeste.

I'm sure I replaced the Bianchi, but it wasn't because I didn't like it. I'd consider adding another as a commuter, if I could find one in 61cm. Same with a Gunnar Crosshairs. I'd love to have another for commuting duties, though they're quite different bikes.

Am I right that the Bianchi D2 Carbon Cross Concept Race was their all carbon, canti braked bike? That's what I'm referring too. There weren't many made iirc.

Yes that is correct. There is one listed near me that is relatively inexpensive, so I am considering it.

I'd love to find one in 60cm. Likely impossible.
