Yes, but remove the pads and clean everything first, get a q-tip in there and get all the dirt and grime up. If you ever rebuild a caliper you'll use the same brake fluid inside it to lube the seal.

Might be worth reaching out to Hope the get thier thoughts now that I think about it....

I did contact Hope’s CS. Quite helpful! They gave me some tips, but has let solved my issue. My last resort would be to RMA it.

I am/was quite interested in these stoppers.

However, the sticky piston issue in such a small sample size, has me leaning the other way. Guess I'll stick with my 100% functional Klampers.

Bike24 has them once in a while. In fact, there are some DOT models on the site now.

My one data point with rx4 plus dot calipers is zero issues since initial setup a few months ago, daily use and they’ve worked flawlessly with no touch.

They are soooo much better than the force calipers they replaced. Really transformed my riding in sticky situations.

I’m hoping more riding will break mine in.

One more data point: it took ~4 months to get mine and they've been flawless (running the DOT/SRAM) set-up.

(I also have E4s on my MTB and they've been flawless too).

There were a set of silver ones earlier this week after someone pointed this out. I sat on it for a day worrying about another cost, then when I decided it was worth it, they were both gone!

Not a surprise when the entire world of cycling is looking to the internet to solve their bike build conundrums. There were probably 100 people vying for that same set of silver DOT calipers! damn.

That’s what I learned at the peak of the hot market. If it meets your criteria, you need to make a decision.

I had friends 2nd guessing the price and next thing you know, they’re gone.

Scored a new set from eBay. Going to just swap out the faulty front caliper and HOPE it solves my issue. While the faulty one is off the bike, maybe look into a seal replacement kit.

Without reading thru 4 pages of stuff about folks buying stuff on ebay...what is wrong with SRAM calipers?

I have found them to be more than capable
