Serotta Hors Categorie for me. It's unique, rides smooth and descends with confidence.

My Mondonico EL OS monostay is my favorite of all. Just love the feel of this bike. Not my go-fast climber club racer. But my favorite nonetheless.

I have been selling down the stable over the last few years.

Some very nice bicycles went bye bye. This one continues to make me smile every time out.

My newer Chris Kvale. It is "just right" for most of my road excursions.

Hmmm My 55cm Serotta CSI, it was sluggish it was heavy it wasn't as light as my Parlee Z3 but my back never hurt I could bomb down any mountain and when people asked me is that steel and I said yes..... that bike was just awesome I wish I didn't sell her but sometimes all good things come to n end. and my memories are forever.

My Crumpton. The zipp bar I had initially was shallow and bit flexy but the Thomson carbon road bar that I installed last month solved that.

Your greatest bike ever

Here's a fairly complete list of bikes I've owned:
Gios Compact Pro
Bianchi Alloro
Bianchi Nuovo Record
Merckx Corsa 01
Merckx AX
Salsa Casseroll
Waterford RST
Gunnar Sport
Gunnar Crosshairs
Ritchey Breakaway Cross
Bob Jackson World Tour
De Bernardi SL

My favorite is the Waterford, which I bought used on this forum. It rides nicer than any frame I've owned, and is extremely versatile with room for large tires and mounts for fenders and racks. I've used it for commuting, light touring, trails and recreational riding.

I bought the Gunnar Sport because geometry was similar and it was also a Waterford product, but the magic wasn't there and I sold. It had an overly stiff ride for me.

I'm surprised to see my De Bernardi SL listed among others faves. Mine is definitely a keeper and the funnest to ride in my stable.

All my bikes have been steel except the Merckx AX (ti) and Bianchi Alloro (al). The Merckx rode and handled great and was my fave until I got the Waterford. I will never own another aluminum bike based on the ride of the Alloro, which also had a carbon fork. Carbon doesn't interest me.

It may be the 1974 Schwinn Stingray that started my love of bicycling. Although I do have a special attachment to my 2000 Klein Quantum Race which was a team bike that I still ride. We've had lot of miles, good times and races together. Although my best riding bike is the Ti Merlin Works CR.

I think my best riding bike is my Legend ti. I'm loving my new Firefly, but I'll need a lot more miles in a lot of conditions to shift the order. I'd also like to try a Look 595 to be sure.

Schwinn Super Sport
Raleigh Super Course
Cinelli Super Corsa
Colnago Master
Ritchey Road Logic
Colnago Master XL
Specialized Roubaix
Cervelo R3
Pegoretti Duende (EOM 16.5)
Cannondale CAAD 10
Serotta Atlanta
Specialized Roubaix
Colnago C-50

The Pegoretti I had was a beater---it was meant for trying not keeping. I felt most confident in fast sweepers on the Duende. It did everything right.

They were all different and greatest in different ways. The two I wish I could get back are the Miyata Team (Koga) with SR and the Basso with full Ti SR. The Miyata was the first bike I raced formally and we went through hell together. The Basso was a team issue and it just did everything right.
