if he were smart he would be sober at the time of the attack, pulled over and feigned remorse.

i heard a report earlier saturday that stated 9 dead but have not seen that reported since and after i searched online i never saw any more reports of any deaths so hopefully that was very much incorrect.
praying for all the injured cyclists and their families dealing with this tragedy

Clark said the group was traveling westbound while the truck was traveling eastbound in the fast lane.

The vehicle suddenly veered across the two lanes, plowing into the oncoming cyclists.

The driver had to veer across a four-lane road. Unless he had a debilitating medical event (unlikely since he fled the scene), I hope the driver is charged with as many counts of attempted murder as there were cyclists in the group he hit. That is, if he survives.

The NYT article said the driver was in critical but stable condition after being shot.

A friend of mine was in the race that started 5 minutes before that group did.

May the victims heal physically and emotionally, and the driver be held accountable.
