Euro 2021

Starting today, anyone else excited? I think its going to be a good one.

Just watching Italy-Turkey and seems like Italy is taking the win on the first game of the tourney.

Of course I am rooting for Portugal. It is going to be a difficult one, the group of death this year is a tough one.

Ill be watching all games like always i guess .)

Bit weird with Euro and corona. I really like going to a sportsbar and enjoy some nice chats with tourists from various nations rooting for their team. This year no tourist. No sportsbar open after first half ha .)

I think Portugal will draw against France but otherwise beat Germany. Germany is sort of a paper tiger these days.

yeah its definitely strange. Also even more strange that its in multiple countries, I guess it was gonna be like that but I woulda thought with Covid that would be a no go. It will still be fun to watch, even at home (which is usually where I watch, always weird going to the bar and being the only crazy Portuguese fan since I am in the US)

Kinda pulling for Belgium. Seems like it is their last chance for their golden generation.

I hope Christian Eriksen is OK. He is one of my favorites to watch. Scariest thing I have ever witnessed watching soccer.

They are two Premier League castaways who showed their mettle to help Inter capture the scudetto this year. Thought it was a fitting tribute Lukaku paid to his teammate. Thankfully, they got to Eriksen quite quickly and were able to revive him. Otoh, unlike the two teams playing (and their supporters), UEFA really mucked it up with the options offered for resumption of the match.

Btw, how is are the Stateside forumites watching this? I thought the coverage was available only on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN3, but I didn't realize I could have just paid $7 or so and watched on ESPN+ instead. Slightly miffed that ESPN+ didn't make this clear.

Watching on ESPN. They switched the resumption of Denmark - Finland match to ESPNews, which I didn't have.

In the same boat. Switched at half for a college baseball 16-1 blowout in the eighth inning. ESPN sucks.

Apparently, someone lobbed the keeper just inside the halfway line. Don’t see goals like that very often.
