I see the gold mine on feeding the consumer's ego, not the protecting the consumer's health. Just look how many people won't even get a shot to help stop a pandemic, while $10,000 e-bikes are selling out like nobody's business!

This Specialized one is really good as well.

I have the Ornot and the Specialized and they're both better than bare arms for me in every regard. My Specialized summer long sleeve is HyperViz which is nice for riding after peak sun.

"What do you mean?" I responded. "It's 85 degrees here now. And it's going to be hotter soon."

He looked at me and laughed.

"Oh, so you're one of those dudes that starts his rides at 11 A.M."

Guilty as charged. But after reading this thread (particularly Big Dan's reply) I'm going to change my ways. And this jersey should come in handy.

OrNot...
Reviving an old, yet relevant thread. I had a similar conversation with a guy in a bike shop in Kansas City in July.

"Why aren't there any cyclists out?"

"Because it's 95° out right now. Locals finish their rides by 9 am. D'oh."

I just ordered two OrNot long sleeve jerseys. Their stuff is really nice. I bought a couple of their tshirts last year that are just way too nice to wear on a bike!

As noted above. I wear them to avoid skin cancer. My wife gets them on Amazon cheap.

I wear white Sun Proof shelves to avoid skin cancer and they are cooler than bare skin exposed to the hot sun

Contrary to popular opinion, dark colors (black, dark blue, some reds, etc) offer more UV protection than white. That's why I wear black arm coolers, if I don't wear a long sleeve jersey.

Their stuff is nice, but not on par with the top tier makers(Rapha, Ornot, LaPassione, etc). And for what it is, they're a bit overpriced. Take a look at Spexcel on Aliexpress... I have a bunch of their jerseys, and they're as good as the Monton stuff, for 1/3rd the price.

I have the Rapha uv sleeves - very light, cool enough and stay up well (but looser than expected, I have their merino sleeves in L but these in L are looser). Also, they don’t discolor like the Castelli uv sleeves I also have (now brown).

I thought they were overpriced at $50 but seem to have gone up in price: https://www.rapha.cc/us/en_US/shop/p...uct/ASP01XXBLK

Edit - checked recent reviews and newer version may be tighter
