I know some picked Belgium, they are real strong.

Belgium's main concern will always be the wingbacks and the aging central defense. Three years ago, that central defense was at its prime and was actually a strong suit of the team. Not sure if that's the case now.

Then the wingbacks. I watch quite a bit of BvB, and while Meunier is a bit mercurial, he's at least a defender by trade. Hazard is a winger impressed into the role of a defender, and better teams will target him. Ditto for Chadli, though one presumes playing under Pulis has instilled some defensive discipline in him.

Quaresma may have retired from international football, but there's someone else to pick up the slack for the trivela goal.

Schick's goal from the halfway line may ultimately be deemed goal of the tournament, but Modric's trivela against Scotland isn't far behind.

Euro has not been enough; in the afternoons and evenings I have been watching Copa America. I will say that I find those matches more competitive and entertaining than the European competition. Watching Messi, Di Maria, and Aguero play together yesterday is something I will cherish forever.

yeah I was sad not seeing Quaresma. He used to live near my Grandpa in Sacavem. My parents still live around there. We actually went to the same high school, probably around the same time but I don't remember him.

Modrić invigorated the team today.

jeezzzzz, Germany was almost staying home lol. wow.

I was of course watching the Portugal-France. Compared to the Germany game Portugal did much better, Santos changed things enough and it worked. No reason why Sanchez was not in the whole game against Germany. We stay 3rd and play Belgium. TBH I much rather play Belgium than England in Wembly.

Bring on Belgium, Ronaldo will break the record in that game.

Yep, given the tie between FRA and POR, 2 goals made the difference for Germany between being first or out.
Gotta love football.

I think Gary Lineker would disagree. You know: "...22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win."
