Well, right now this is literally in the workstand, one of my Giordana XL Supers. This is the one purpose built to go fairly light and I do have it under 18lbs when fully built up.

Running a used set of tubulars rims/tires on this and they needed regluing. I'll have it all back together today. I also took advantage of it being on here to give it a full going over and the clean and wax the frame.

This will be what it looks life this afternoon as I put the wheels back on.

Started in on the LeMond Ti rebuild last night. My original plan was to use my spare 6700 groupset on it, but as I was rummaging around the shop I realized that I have half a 6800 groupset so if I can find shifters and a crankset at a reasonable price I’ll build it that way. Why stop at 10 when you can turn it up to 11?

Strong

Came Friday! Looks beautiful, it's all I could hope for. Carl nailed it.
Having some challenges with the build though.
- The SRAM Force 22 crank axle absolutely won't go into the Wheels Mfg BB30 bottom bracket - it looks by the vernier that the axle is about 1-1/2 thou bigger than the bearing ID - so thank goodness for a threaded BB, I threw 35 year old Sugino AT cranks onto a Shimano square taper BB until I get that sorted.
- I spent two hours trying to get the rear brake hose through the internal tube in the downtube (posts about this in another thread) to no avail, and finally kinked the hose that came attached to the Dura Ace caliper so now I'm definitely into a new hose and full bleed job. Hoping to find some hose in stock here on the Island tomorrow, and if I can't get it into the tube I'll just zip tie it to the frame so I can get the bike on the road.

I actually spoke to Carl yesterday - he is SUCH a good guy - and he gave me some tips, and he does run a hose through to check but somehow I think there is some slight distortion somewhere in the tube and with only a few thousandths clearance it won't go by hand. I'll get it one way or another but I'd hoped to be riding it today!

Absolutely love the headset and spacers! Sorry you're having to wait a bit to get it on the road.

Thanks! The headset, etc., is White Industries version of pink, which is kind of a magenta. It almost matches the Muc-Off tubeless valves. I wish they made a seat collar because no one else's pink is close to WI's pink!

I'm going with blue cable housing and bar tape.

Sugino AT cranks

I love the cranks, don't change them! They look like old XTR.

The problem is that they are 110 BCD so they have a 44-33 on them. On the new bike I want lower low gears so I swapped the Force 22 spider for an Engin 110/74 spider and have that set up with 44-30 rings. So hoping somehow to make this work.

My summer project. A 2000’ish Mountain Cycle Mojo that I picked up from Fleabay. It was in pretty rough shape when I purchased it, but I’ve been slowly bringing it back to life. It looked like someone took a chisel to the bottom bracket shell. Old paint removed, prepped the BB shell and head tube. I’m still on the hunt for parts, but getting close.

You can go 46-30 on 110BCD using the special "bikingreen" chainrings, available through eBay:
