So, with some of the measurements now known, does anyone have any thoughts about the numbers and rider this would be best for?

Me -- long legs, short torso, grouchy back requiring relatively upright position. So I did jump on it.

Are you kidding me...the guy provided dimensions with a matching measuring tape.
Hopefully he includes it with the bike.

SWEET!

Last eBay message from him to me was this:

"I am a bike manufacturer (www.lepetitporteur.com) and bike collectionneur. I have sent bike worldwide. I ship in 2 différents cartons, one for the frame, one for the wheels."

It sounds like a worthy risk. Again, congrats

The update is: 1) worst packing I have ever seen (eg, nothing in one box but the frame -- no padding, no dropout spacers, handlebars hanging loose, chain rattling around, etc); 2) but no apparent damage in spite of the above; 3) haven't yet finished building it because I need a shorter stem.

So that's a lot of nothing. I promise to post again when I have built and ridden it.

Great score! Glad it made it in one piece. Was the shipping really $30?

You got a true French rando bike, made by one of the best builder’s of such bikes for a steal and shipped from Europe for 30.

THATS a pretty good deal!
