Helmet rear light for POC?

So I was riding in traffic the other day around dusk, and I was behind a cyclist that had blinky lights on both his helmet and on the bike. I was shocked at how much more visible he was with the helmet light! Now I'd like to have a blinky on my helmet as well, if I'm going to be riding in low light conditions.

Some helmets have a rear light integrated. However, I'm currently rolling a POC Omni Air MIPS helmet, and it doesn't look like they have any sort of light integration.

Anyone have any luck putting a blinky light on a helmet not designed for it? Particularly the POC Omni Air MIPS???

Thanks!

I have a previous version of this from light and motion.

Headlight and taillight in one. I have it on a POC ventral air. Winter commuting I roll with it and fore and aft lights on the bike.

a loop of two sided velcro strip run through the rear vents, then...

you can hang any light with a clip from the looped velcro.

I do that with:

This thing is obscenely bright. I almost feel guilty running it on my helmet, but better safe than sorry. I got it at the Berkeley Sports Basement and have no idea what it’s called.

I installed one of these yesterday - https://www.topeak.com/global/en/product/326-HEADLUX

I wanted something super lightweight and not cause any problems if I fall on it. I used to run a regular blinker on the back of a previous helmet and wondered if bad things would happen if I fell on it.

I use the previous version on both my POC helmets but they are Onmi Air Spin vs Mips if that matters.

I hang a Cygolite Hotshot from the left side (traffic side) of the cable which tightens the liner inside my Lazer and Bell helmets. Never feel it while riding.

GoPro Mounts

I start my morning rides at about 4:30 in the burbs and need all the light I can get. L&M Endura head lamp and Vya Pro in the back with GoPro mounts. Good for over 2 hours on high.

read this thread yesterday...

just received new Cygolite Hotrods (front and rear) and decided to try using the old rear unit (functional, but just doesn't hold a charge as long as it should) on the helmet.

figure anything that makes me more visible is a good thing.
