I like the idea of them all being the same so I’m open to crowdsourcing the paint.

Ummmm. Crowdsourcing isn't really my thing.

I figured as much. Just didn't want to get anybody too far down that path.

Whoa. Light blue with white panels and red decals. I wouldn't change a thing.

I would love to be part of this but I’m currently maxxed out with my Hampsten.
It’s not lugged but possesses all the ride qualities described here. The more you stomp on it, the better it rides. I’m curious to see what tricks Mike Z has up his sleeve.
Stephen your bike is beautiful, can you post a picture of it built up?
I’m curious to see how you did it.
Thought tempted to go with a silver and more period correct setup, I think I would go all carbon Campagnolo with a nice stout set of HED Belgiums.
That sounds pretty sweet,
Good luck guys, can’t wait to start seeing some pictures.

And I have a soft spot for light blue, this bike looks awesome!

bike looks great Stephen! so whats the story on the fork? looks like you replaced the original max fork with a reynolds ? kind of suprised you'd do that.
you mentioned you're also getting one these anniversary frame sets as well ?

So,all 5 spoken for then ?

I have both forks, and interchange them from time to time. With the Reynolds fork the bike gets downright light. Tough to say for a steel MAX bike, but true.

Anyway, there is one spot left I believe. Maybe Mike could chime in, but when we spoke last week there was a single slot still available.

Stephen

Zanconato 20th Anniversary Max Framesets

I am lucky #5. Just catching up on the thread.

Paint scheme wise I’d be in for same graphic style (panel etc.) with pick our colors if that was a nice compromise?
