Ottrott SE

Picked this beauty up yesterday. I have been on the lookout for one of these in my size with the necessary tubing and such for a few years and saw this one on the stand when I went to pick up the C50.

As fate would have it I received a message from huckthis that he was looking to move it along and although the timing wasn't perfect the bike was.

I threw a Brooks b15 swallow on and adjusted the saddle height. I found a use for the Ksyrium SLR exalith Wheelset and put some speedplay frogs on and took it down the road. The fit seems to be spot on.

Definitely looking forward to putting some miles on it in the near future!

Congrats! Been looking for one in my size for a while, too.

It looks like a keeper!

The Ottrott imho is one of the best bikes ever made. You have ridden a lot of bikes to compare it too. I will be interested in how you like it.

I am curious as well. The geometry seems perfect and this one has a 10.5 fork and carbon tubeset built for heavier riders. It did not feel overly stiff while pedaling it down my road, so I think it should work out fine.

I know that these are highly regarded amongst most who have owned and ridden them. I have had a bunch of Serottas over the years and have rarely been disappointed by them.

Enjoy my man. That is one sweet ride for sure and speced beautifully. I know you will give it the business it demands.

Cheers and always a pleasure meeting fellow Pacline members in person.

Thanks again Justin. Putting the 12spd cassette on today and hopefully getting in a ride. Not sure if I'll beat the rain today, but I am going to try.

Beautiful pics Adam, thanks for sharing. I dig the tan side walls.

So..... how does it ride compared to your others? Campy 12?

It rides extremely smooth. I did a 25 mile loop with a little of everything and it performed very well. Looking forward to a longer ride today or tomorrow.

So, I have put about 100 miles on the bike this week. I really like it a lot and am happy with the purchase. I had some shifting issues on the first two rides, but got it all sorted yesterday.

The Record 12 spd works pretty flawlessly once set up perfectly and the bike just eats up the less than perfect pavement without issue. I can still flex it a lit bit when out of the saddle hammering on it, but the transmission of power is very good. I think it's a keeper, but only time will tell.
