Stunning. They are a bucket list builder for sure. Would absolutely love to own a Firefly.

Congrats Stephen! Looking forward to seeing the complete build!

Curious how the design/intent changed over time. Looks like you didn't get the new 3D-printed yoke to maximize tire clearance in the back?

And I guess I'm not old school enough, but what's the backstory of the "Titanium" text on the top tube?

I think the Titanium script really started with Merlin. All the early frames said titanium on the top tube.

Then the Italians got in the mix, especially De Rosa.... The Titanio De Rosa of 1994 was the inspiration for this bike originally. We were going to match the paint work of the 1995 De Rosa, but it kind of got out of hand. In addition, Tyler was sensitive to using the "Titanio" script, even though Titanio just means Titantium in Italian.

Originally it was Rim brake, EPS....but the fork we intended to use is no longer being made.

So it went from a De Rosa inspired Rim brake, to a Zanconto Racing inspired Disc....

Looks Great! You should consider the internally routed bar end junction box for EPS. I have the same powermeter and I also upgraded to Record 12s chainrings. Not only are they quieter than the 11s, but they are all black and match the SRM perfectly. Awesome build regardless.

Very nice bike, indeed, but I have to say that those 12spd EPS shifters look huge to me. Actually a little off-putting for my taste.

Looks great! I think a titanium stem to match the seatpost would make it even better.

Titani-YOW!!! That looks great! Agree that a ti stem would go nicely with the seatpost.

Would be interested in your impressions of the Campy hydro discs.

There is a titanium firefly stem on its way!!!!!

The levers are pretty big, but actually in riding them, I kind of dig them. They give you something nice and meaty to hang on to.
