Rivnut Tool?
I've got a project frame in the stand that needs a bottle cage bolt rivnut replaced. Anyone have experience with one of the cheaper tools? will this get it done?

I had one from harbor freight and it was fine for me. I lost it or I would send it to you. It came with the nuts also.

Rivnut Tool?
This is supposed to be all that you need.

I bought this kit and it works great. If you are like me, you will suddenly find all sorts of things that need a rivnut.

If you're only setting ONE Rivnut you don't even need anything that fancy. A long bolt, a few nuts and flat washers and a couple of wrenches and Bob's your uncle.

I've always just used a quick release skewer, works fine if your rivnut is aluminum. Probably wouldn't work with steel, but I would only want steel rivnuts on a steel frame, and then I would be looking for someone with a torch.

All of a sudden I'm thinking of a lot of applications for a rivnut. I would rather not use one on a bike, if possible.

i concur that titanium frames should just be made with welded bosses, but sadly, many are not.
