1x Chainrings: Praxis vs. Wolftooth?

Looking to build a 1x setup and have a 2x crankset - going to convert it to 1x (Rival 1) and interested in two options:

Praxis 1x Wave Chainring
Wolftooth Components 1x Drop Stop Chainrings

I see they’re both generally well reviewed - anyone have any comparison between the two?

Primary priority would be on durability/less maintenance.

These are both solid products that should have a long and comparable life with maintenance. Choose on price or looks or something else.

I agree with Kona. You're not going to wear out either of those rings for a long long time. Pick the one that you keep going back to look at because it's pretty. (Absolute Black for me)

Wolftooth all the way based on my experience.

I tried a Praxis wave chainring, it was shot by 400 miles and when it wore out it started getting terrible chain suck if the chain wasn’t in a straight line. It seems that if you spend any time at far ends of the cassette it causes really fasts wear on the chainring plates and then the wear causes chain suck.

I get 2500+ miles out of Wolftooth and other brands of normal narrow wide chainrings

1x Chainrings: Praxis vs. Wolftooth?

I am doing this with an old Force 10 speed crank. Due to chainstay clearance, I have my generic (RaceFace-ish) narrow wide chainring with zero offset mounted in the big ring position. This is a little lateral for chain line on the largest rear cog (40t). I have a couple of SRAM 1x chainrings with offset medially that I’ll eventually switch to.

I know the WolfTooth site has three levels of offset on NW rings, but that is only for direct mount crank arms (edited for accuracy).

No experience with the Praxis, but am rocking the Wolftooth that replaced an Absoluteblack and digging it. I prefer it over the Ab shape - flows better for my knees and hips - and 10x better than a Raceface I had years ago on my SuperX.
