We put a queen mattress on our main level for our rescue lab Charlie to recover from ACL surgery. I don’t think it’s going anywhere now!

Sometimes our 14-year-old Mr. B picks the oddest places to rest his beautiful head.

Here's Dinah at the top of the mountain on a hike! She still had gas in the tank but the rest of us needed a rest and a snack!

We just added this new kid to the family.
Meet young Fergus. He’s half Weimaraner and half Labradoodle. Loves to cuddle and is showing signs of high IQ, good problem solving skills. Hopefully this doesn’t lead to being too smart, haha.

One of my favorite threads.

This dog was one of the star attractions of Gestalt Haus in Fairfax yesterday (along with the beer, brats, and bikes.) The owner told me her name was Karma. Then waited a bit and followed it up with:

“Yeah…Karma is a bitch.”

Super cute! And that water bottle is fantastic, I just ordered one. We're off for our annual week in the NH White Mtns soon and I hope I can train Fiona to drink from it. Easier than a separate water bottle and a bowl!

New family member

Decided to get my dog a dog. Someone to keep him company and hopefully play with. The rescue group listed her as a Pekingese, the same as my boy now. Yeah, no. As soon as I saw the picture I knew that wasn't right, but after 3 months of applications and rejections/no responses looking for a Peke female, 2-7 years old who was good with other dogs, I said close enough. She is an absolute sweetheart. A Velcro dog, wants to be with me at all times. Her name is Fiona, and she and Dax are warming up to each other. They play a little, sleep on the same bed unprompted (it's big, so they have room to not be right on each other), and best of all, don't fight about anything. My best guess (supported by the Dog Scanner app that will tell you your dogs' probable breed(s)) is a Tibetan Spaniel, which is perfect. I had one once, he was a great dog.
So, long intro, please meet Fiona. And a picture with her and Dax. Approx 2 years old, and worth the 12 hr R/T drive to Salamanca, NY to get her.
