Just had a great transaction with Spierfalls (Mike). Great communication, quick shipping, pleasure to do business with. Now I just need to build up the frame. Highly recomend Mike as a seller (or buyer, for that matter).

Thumbs up

I recently purchased parts from both quickfeet and pitcrew. Both were class acts and very communicative. Quickfeet was even nice enough to even swap out the chainrings on the crankset I was buying once I mentioned that I was going to use it for 'cross. And pitcrew was perfectly willing to humor my comments about obnoxious color matching in parts selection. Good folks!

Edit, I also just had a great buying experience from dimsy. Great communication too, quick shipping, and helped me out with a braze-on derailleur adaptor when I mentioned needing one.

(Hey, I've bought a lot of stuff lately, I'm building up the new 'cross bike!)

Adding my voice to the "Thwart is the greatest thing since [add something funny here]" chorus. The De Rosa arrived today, and though it's orange -- so that's what he meant by "Molteni" -- it's still a decent enough looking rig. Kidding aside, it's hard to imagine a better person from whom to buy a bike: generous, easy to work with, prompt.

I should add that I can say exactly the same things about toomanybikes, Ryun, handsomerob, oliver1850, sean, Steeleye, Jack Brunk, and moots7. The real crime of it is that I know I'm forgetting people who have helped me out in the past. There are just too many good folks around here to keep track of 'em all! But the above list is a good start -- with a special shout-out to toomanybikes and Jack Brunk, both of whom really went way above and beyond the call of duty. Still, having said that, I don't want to take anything away from the others, who are all aces.

thanks should go to ahumblecycler for the clamp, when i was building up the club special, he sent me this clamp and cages for free, he didn't even take money for shipping costs, i guess this is an example of the pay it forward principle.

I want to publicly thank TAW for helping me along the road to Serotta ownership. The Concours was well-packed & arrived more than promptly. I hope to make its debut in the image gallery before the end of Sept.
