Anybody regret buying Pauls Klampers?
I'm sure it was hard to pull the trigger at the price but wondering if there are any downsides? If I stay with Campy non disc ergolevers I can run rim brakes or mechanical discs. I have BB7's in the parts box but would like something nicer.

Have a look at Juin Tech R1 brakes.

I have no experience with the klamper but if they’re too rich for your blood try out the Juin Tech r1.
They work with campy very well |

I've only heard good things about Klampers, but always relative to BB7s or Spyres (meh). As mentioned, with Campy levers look at Juin Tech R1 or Yokozuna Motoko or the sexy, new 4 piston Ultimos. I have Motokos with Campy 10 and they work very well. Yokozunas are more expensive, but come with Yokozuna's awesome compressionless housing and cables.

I failed to mention that my frame and fork have IS mounts, if this changes things.

So, does anyone regret Paul's Klampers?

I have read one very negative review from an owner of a set. I've not read any positive reviews, likely because there's not many people using them, and even less people using them and posting on forums.

I think if you can find a good used pair.... but at $200 a caliper I think that would be crazy to spend $400 or mech brakes that are probably not that much better than bb7s (I hear they are great but are they $400 better than what you have in your box right now?).
I mean for $460 you can get shimano 105 hydro.... because no matter what mech disc brakes you use they will always be mech disc brakes |

I still need to install my Klampers. After some patience and strategic shopping, I snagged a set from 365 cycles on eBay for $288 shipped a while back. Lucky? Maybe, but nowhere near MSRP. People here weren’t even talking about Juin Tech then (that I know of).

I bought my Klampers for a good price...pretty sure around $300 for the pair, new, either from someone on here or across the hall...was a couple years ago when I bought Raygunner's Ahearne.
No, no regrets.... SPP™ |

I also have a pair of Paul Klampers. I'd buy another pair if I got the same deal again.
Why? They are nothing like the BB7 or any other mechanicals. They module very well, they have insane stopping power and are crazy serviceable. These are important aspects for some bikes. My Klampers are on my Breakaway bike which tends to go with me to places where servicing a brake is not possible and leaks must be avoided. I compare the Paul's to the Hydraulic Hope RX4. Honestly, in wet weather I trust the Klampers more than any other brake I have (TRP Hy/Rd including) |

But I will never run hydro on a bike where I will be on a self supported tour on or off road. Never I tell you! |

I get that. Hydros also annoying on travel bikes.
