I picked this frameset up this winter and built it up. I’ve owned and still own some big name titanium bikes and this is still a great bike! It is a 2018 that fits 30c tires, is di2 ready, thru axles and flat mount brakes. I’d buy it again without any issue.

You don’t get a warranty with a used titanium frame and will not have the features that the new bike will. They can also be had for an extremely good price if you buy in the off season. I don’t think there is a better value in USA made titanium.

I've built one 2017 R260 for a customer and a 2018 R260 (Enve 2.0 fork) for Mrs Valley (Christmas present). I found the workmanship to be VG to E on both bikes. The welds are really nice and the customer service was great.

I rode Mrs. Valley's bike (Campagnolo Chorus 11s) for about 150 miles before she clawed away from me.

My only other Ti bike is a Legend Ti so my frame of reference is somewhat biased.

This bike is one of the nicest I've ever ridden. Super smooth Ti ride, climbs well, and it goes when you give it the spurs. And made in the USA.

To echo other comments here, this may be one of the best ti values around.

Along with my Level 4 Lynskey I own this Helix, affectionately called, "Twisted Sister". It's a cool ride. It's 8-9 degree TT slope results in a looooong exposed seat post! Cushy ride for sure.

It may now be the deal you think. They usually offer a sale price or financing but not both. Double check first.

I've noticed the last few years there seemed to be little love for Lynskey's on this forum. Nice to finally get some details for the absence of fondness.

My only data point to add is I have an old Eddy Merckx EX ti frame that was built by Litespeed/Lynskeys that is almost twenty years old now. It is still going strong after all these years. I consider the welds on this frame to be as aesthetically pleasing as any other builder out there.

Can't really comment on the way Lynskey's treated their retailer network, but blowing out their inventory surplus at the end of the year is something they started way back in the Litespeed days. I can remember Colorado Cyclist blowing out Litespeeds at considerable discounts every year in the late 90's and possibly into the early 00's. In fact I got a NOS Tuscany from '04 still in the box waiting to be built. So this was a well-established practice going back several years.

When Ti frames were first being sold in the U.S. some of the marketing claims went something like this, "it may be the last bike/frame you ever need to buy". While many marketing claims are pure B.S. I believe that in my case, my Mercxk/Litespeed/Lynskey may outlast me.

YMMV.

I've put 250 miles on this bike in not even a week.

Yes, but you might keep it and ride it.

Plus, it's very hard to lose more than 700 dollars on a 700 dollar frame.

Whereas, on a 2 or 3k frame . . .

That's a nice bike. Like the build you did on it, it all syncs together well. Post a drive side if you can. That is awesome.
