I had our new to us (1970s build) home wired for ethernet last year. This included going for PoE access points (2 upstairs at opposite sides of the house, 1 downstairs) in the ceiling. This provides very good WiFi coverage in the house, and into the yard, and is super clean (basically looks like a smoke alarm on the ceiling).

I have everything running in to the home office along with fiber internet. I also had ethernet ran to each expected TV or similar location so that only phones, tablets, and similar devices that move or don't support ethernet use the WiFi.

I went with TP-Link for everything and have been satisfied but I'm not running any kind of complex setup, QoS, firewalls, forced mesh handoffs, etc.

My main concern with enterprise style equipment would be size, power usage, and noise. I needed my gear to live in a small space on the wall only a few feet from my desk. But if you have a network closet in your house that is less of a concern.
