Damn they're good. Their lead singer is a combination of the Dropkick Murphy's Al Barr mixed with Tom Jones and Morrisey. And he looks like Kevin Spacey.

Last night I watched a Netflix documentary (Echo in the Canyon)about all the great rockers that lived in Laurel Canyon in the 60s and how they all influenced each other (Byrds, Buffalo Springfield) as well as the Beatles and many others. The film was conducted by Jakob Dylan (of the Wallflowers) and his interviews with Stephen Stills, Brian Wilson, Tom Petty, David Crosby, Eric Clapton and much more.

Plus Jakob performs with several and they put out a terrific soundtrack. This is one of my favorite songs from the film - Jakob and Eric Clapton performing Stephen Stills' "Questions"

My kids love it and have no idea what she’s singing about, but her new single “everything I wanted” is a really good pop song.

I tend to hate pop music, but when it’s done right, it’s impressive.

Speaking of Gary Clark, I am stumped on finding the name of a band that I saw on YouTube that I think had a show on KEXP.

They were kinda goofy RandB, but as they carry on, they get really funky - like The MakeUp/Alabama Shakes/Gary Clark/name a surf band.

They are mostly (if not all) instrumental. They’re from the PNW and Clark May be involved.

Any ideas?

My sentiments exactly. 5 grammy's seems excessive when whispering on every song, but it's catchy and sticks in your head.
