I'm glad to see Peyton get one last shot at it and I don't like the Patriots at all. But I gotta say, that was as amazing as anything I've ever seen Brady do. With the kind of pressure he was under all day, to pull off that last drive, twice really, spending as much time as he did on his back. True, Denver was down both starting safeties, but still, crazy impressive act of pure will. Damn, that game was EPIC!

NFC has to be favored. Panthers defense is amazing...and they have a very good offense.

Regardless of that outcome, I'll enjoy this victory for awhile.

NE beats Miami at the end of the year, and this is in Foxboro, this is a different outcome IMO.

BUT I'LL TAKE IT

Wish they had some semblance of an offense to go with that defense.

The denver pass rush made the patriots offensive line look like a JV team. Or the patriots offensive line made the denver pass rush look like champions.

That was the story of the game and the root of most of the key plays.

Although, I'm still not sure how that Aqib Tallib can hold Gronkowski in the end zone and not get called for it... That was the only really big missed call that I saw.

It was a hold, I agree. And it didn't matter. Gronk, though a mutant, wasn't going to out-jump the defense for that ball.

Home field matters. Pats loss to Eagles came back to bite them. That said, Denver's D line ate Pats O line alive. And Wade Phillips out-coached Josh McDaniels. We had no effective offensive game plan. And yes, Manning outplayed Brady. Who would have thought the QB with two picks would have been Tom?

One shining light for Pats was their D. It matched Denver's D drive for drive. Pats O didn't measure up.

I don't think Manning outplayed Brady. Denver's defense outplayed the Pat's offense and they put Brady on his ass a lot, but he did as much as he possibly could have done under that circumstance. Peyton got more done, but he had a lot better overall match-up. Denver's defense was just too damn good.

I'm sorry, I can't be convinced that the Broncos are a super bowl team. The game against the stealers was a mess and this game was a mess. This was more of a Pats lost it rather than Denver won it.

The Broncos D works against Rothersburger and Brady 2 of the slowest QBs in the league. No chance against Newton in a neutral field.

Patriots really didn't look incredible - they lost a few games that should have been a wash - I wish they got it, but I'm not crying.

Newton is gonna make Payton look like the elder statesman he is.

They are good. But last year's Seattle D was pretty good too, yet somehow the Pats O line handled them better. I wonder (not that it matters) how much was good D vs bad O line? Never seen Brady that harassed. Denver did it often with just 3 rushers. Can't 5 O linemen block 3 guys? Ours couldn't. Hope Pats upgrade the O line in the off season.

Miller is special...Ware is still really good, and Wolfe is a BEAST. The LBs are very good, and their DBs may be the best group in the league. Brady knew the coverage was going to be tight, and he was just waiting for Ware or Miller to hit him...that was pretty clear. They were in his head.

Wouldn't underestimate the affect of playing at altitude. It's real Those are big boys on the offensive line.

That dime that Brady dropped to Gronk (the big gain) at the end...as well as waiting for him to fight open in the end zone speaks to how great of a competitor he is.

Patriots really didn't look incredible -
Whatever, Patriots were already predicted in Vegas to win the SB, prior to the actual game today. Newton would have made the Pats look like chumps, if they actually won. Oh yeah, as far as the postseason goes: it's 3 to 2, Peyton vs Tom. If you include both Mannings then it's 5 to 2.

Agree. Brady has the label of a pretty boy/the golden boy, but he's a fighter. He never quits. That pass to Gronk was great, maybe his best of the day. I'm glad the Pats hung in there until the end. Denver was landing body blows all day. The boys could have quit. They didn't.

Brady alone has 4 rings - Manning brothers have 3. My math isn't good, but I think 4 rings by one person is more than 3 rings combined from 2 people.
