Too Few Miles

Motor-paced: Porsche gt3

So, a few miles left on my ride this morning. All of sudden a very loud car pulls out from a side street. Rather slowly. Very loudly. Clearly it is something fantastic. We are in a rather nice neighborhood on some residential streets.

So I was able to jump behind him. More to see what the darn thing was than anything else. He accelerated and I stuck with him. He saw me and gave a thumbs up. I gave him a thumbs up back.

And then the fun started as I noticed this car is a new Porsche gt3!!!

The little road we were on had some good twists and turns. He was clearly just checking out his gears (and towing me along for grins). I'd guess 30 or 35 mph. He'd accelerate into the turns and then back off. I was pretty much as close as I could get without being stupid. This was probably only a mile or two.

Loud that thing is!

Oh, and I was on 47 year old Raleigh RRA. Simplex Super LJ's doing their thing. Stuck like glue. Thanks to Old Potatoe for a great wheel build!

Made this old guy smile while being sucked along in the aurora of Porsche wonderfulness.

My MCoupe takes offense to that statement! But yes, the Porsche would run circles around me. At least I could pop the hatch for a better draft.

The smile on your face seems to say that touch on the fender wasn’t authorized, but you knew Lionel couldn’t reach you.

He let me drive it in my flip flops. TBH, sitting in the passenger seat was the scariest thing I have ever done. I fogged up the passenger side window. It is an awesome car. I have been in Ferraris and other fancy cars but the GT3 is just nuts.

Nice car, but it needs a bike rack.

Didn't Klein have an ad or two with a Porsche in it?

Oooops, I stand corrected! The Turbo version of the 911 only comes as a PDK.
