I like the Atlas grinders, copper for pepper and silver for salt, the salt grinders have a plastic liner and grinding mechanism to stop corrosion.

I feel like such a heathen, but do they make a significant difference? I just use the Costco Kirkland refillable grinder...

https://fletchersmill.com/product/4-...ill-salt-mill/ I liked the more contemporary look, and Made in Maine is always a plus for me, so I was happy to pay a bit extra. |

I have an old turkish brass coffee grinder that I use to grind pepper corns. It has been going strong for 30+ years.
It is not the easiest to set the grind but it is built strong and has never given me any issues. Mine is similar to this one. Beware of cheap knockoffs tho. Buy one that is made is Turkey and not indo-china. https://www.specialtyturkishcoffee.c...offee-grinder/ Last edited by skiezo; 11-15-2020 at 05:20 PM. |

I guess I have a set Peugot grinders. (I had to look)
They are terrible. That's my mini review. |

Although I do have a peppermill, I almost never use pepper on its own. However, I do use it a lot in a spice mix I make. I grind my own peppercorns for the spice mix with an old fashioned mortar and pestle like this.

Second the Vic Firth. We have three-black pepper, white pepper, and salt. Love them all.

Unicorn Pepper Mill - I have had the Magnum Plus for years and it grinds a prodigious amount with minimal effort. The grind can be adjusted easily. As a final benefit, it holds a huge amount of peppercorns.

Thank you everyone for their input. Wow didn't think it would go 3 pages long. You guys are awesome. Goes to show we all share a common interest.
I ended up with a Vintage Pepper Mill and love it! Has that nice feel in the hand, works smoothly, and will look great on the table. Cheers! |

Same here, the salt grinder gave out-replaced with an WMF product:
