great combination of guitars and keyboards and Dylan-like voice

sorta like Coldplay...but maybe better.

The road goes on forever, the party never ends. Probably REK's most famous song. Certainly his most popular, especially with the singalongs.

Tool Fear Inoculum. Can't say I'm a big Tool fan but I do dig a fair number of their songs when I'm in the mood for something heavy.

But man, ever since I brought this home on vinyl it's living on the turntable.
I can see why this album won awards, it's freaking awesome.

The details even my modest system brings out just make me smile which is a weird notion to me in terms of Tool's music.

I have no idea where this came from -- I probably haven't listened to this album in over four decades -- but for some reason I could not get Frank Zappa's "Latex Solar Beef" out of my head last night.

While trying to find an updated analogue of Tower of Power, one of my college favorites, I came across the band “Lettuce”. Great horn section, amazing driving drummer, and a great funk sound. Much in the vein of Galactic.

Warren Zevon-The Station Nightclub Fire-20 years ago

The Station Nightclub caught fire and 100 people died with many more injured.
I wasn't there that night, February 20, but went to school with people who were. It happened one town over from me and on occasion I see people who looked as though they had survived.

Warren Zevon also passed away that year...2003

I picked up a 2 cd The Very Best of the Doors. A little different from what I usually prefer, but it is quite enjoyable

Well since last night it's been this song. Had just gotten the Clannad Album in yesterday and listened to it last night. This final 10 minute long song just jams. I kept repeat playing the song last night and then have had it going again this morning as I worked on one of the bikes.

If you like jamming 70's Irish Folk music this is a must. This youtube version doesn't do justice to how freaking amazing the actual LP sounds on my modest setup.
