I went to my LBS to grab a box to ship a cheap $100 (not exaggerating) wheelset and this is the box they handed me....

BTW - I have your former F8 built up now, looking forward to getting some comparison rides one of these days.
Y'all make me wish I was still living in Seattle!

A meet up in Bend would be great! I'm in. Or anywhere we can ride bikes, and then jaw over some suds.

Enjoy the F8, it's a ripper for sure. I didn't really get to do many comparisons on the handling between the two. I will say that I miss the F8 though. Its handling was/is superb. I may even say (from some hazy thoughts) that I preferred the F8's handling. Both are sharp, yet not twitchy. The Aethos seems to only need a delicate touch. I was able to be a bit more direct with the F8. I remember clicking into some descents on the F8. Get low and hammer...the bike just performs! I have to be a bit more subtle with the Aethos. I'm still learning the bikes finer points. The F8 was bang on right out of the box. No learning curve.

I think I've seen that you may have some challenging road surfaces where you ride. I never really had the F8 on chunky, broken stuff. I'll be curious to hear about that. Please post up when you have it ready to go!

Had I been able to squeeze a 32 in the F8...I likely would not have the Aethos.

Specialized Aethos

Today was not a bad day. Good old Mt Hood showing its beauty.

I’m also trying a Power Arc switching from the Power. The more shaped Arc seems to agree better with my rear.
